Everyday Makeup Bag

Every so often (probably not often enough), I clean out my everyday makeup bag and switch up the contents. I like to keep things as streamlined as possible: all I really need is an ensemble of products that I love enough to use down to the last drop/sweep/dusting. I ask myself what would I bring on a two-week-long trip?; once you realize how little you need for two weeks, you realize how little you need, period. (Note: donuts are another thing that happens probably not often enough... mmm, frivolity)

While I'm pretty good at paring down my makeup, I've somehow amassed a huge collection of makeup bags over the years. It doesn't make sense, considering I don't have nearly enough makeup to fill them all... I blame it on the fact that they're always so cute. This lovely Ted Baker wash bag (℅) is from Surfdome, and you can find it right here. The chic/girly bow design is somewhat reminiscent of Dior, don't you think? The patent leather exterior is also super easy to clean, and it is so spacious -- it could easily hold double the products I've photographed.

Here are a few of my favorite things inside:

YSL Babydoll Mascara (my personal favorite for defined, super-fluttery lashes)

Shu Uemura eyelash curlersToo Faced Shadow InsuranceL'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in "Amber Rush"

Dior BB CremeNARS Douceur BlushYSL Touche Eclat

YSL Rouge Pur Couture #32 Pourpre Carmin

Royal Apothic Hand Creme in "Holland Park" (I needed a new hand cream, and I'm so glad I chose this one… it has a gorgeous, delicate floral scent.)

Caudalie Divine Oil

Essie's Wicked

Surfdome is currently offering 20% off all styles for the start of the holidays, Ted Baker wash bags included: you can find more of them in different styles and colors! Not that I need any more, but there's room in my handbag right now for this one...

What's in your everyday makeup bag these days?
